Simplifying Rentals & Property Management Across Africa
Year:
2025 - ongoing
Company:
Rezidant
Role:
Product Designer
Rezidant was built to simplify how people rent, manage, and interact with properties.
The idea was to replace fragmented tools, manual processes, and endless back-and-forth communication with a single, connected platform that brings tenants, realtors, and property managers into one shared experience.
Instead of juggling spreadsheets, multiple phone calls, and paperwork, Rezidant offers a structured, transparent way to handle rentals from discovery to long-term management.
The Problem:
Renting and property management workflows are often messy and inefficient.
Tenants struggle to find verified listings, track payments, or get updates on maintenance issues.
Realtors manage listings and inquiries across multiple platforms with little visibility.
Property managers deal with manual records, poor communication, and limited insight into their portfolios.
These disconnected experiences lead to delays, misunderstandings, and unnecessary stress for everyone involved.
The Goal:
Create a unified rental platform that
Centralizes property and tenant information
Improves communication across all stakeholders
Simplifies payments, leases, and maintenance tracking
Provides real-time visibility and insights
All while remaining intuitive and easy to use.
My Role:

As a Product Designer, I focused on shaping clear, role-based experiences that balance complexity with usability.
My work involved thinking through how different users interact with the platform and designing interfaces that feel intuitive regardless of role or scale.
The Solution:
Reflection:
Designing Rezidant highlighted how much everyday systems like renting suffer from poor structure and disconnected tools.
By bringing all stakeholders into one shared platform, Rezidant demonstrates how thoughtful product design can remove friction from real-world processes and create clarity where there was once chaos.
